Bridesmaids Bouquets

The bride’s bouquet sets the trend for the rest of the bridal party, so you want to have the bridal bouquet completely designed before selecting your attendants’ bouquets. The bridesmaids’ bouquets should look similar to the bride’s in shape and color and coordinate with the ceremony and reception flowers. One way to do this is to have a signature flower that you can weave into all the arrangements to create continuity.

Once you have selected the bridesmaid’s dresses you can choose their bouquets. Be sure to create enough contrast between the attendants’ dresses and their bouquets so that they do not completely blend into each other in the wedding photos. You don’t want bridesmaids who are wearing crimson dresses to carry a bouquet filled with dark red roses; the roses will simply fade into the dress.

  • You may wish to have your maid of honor carry a bouquet that’s slightly different from the rest of the bridal party’s bouquets.
  • Also consider the size and the proportion of the bouquet in relation to the size of the person carrying it.
